Backend config requires an external Unsplash ACCESS_KEY (third-party account key) at import time; startup exits 1 with 'ACCESS_KEY Field required'. Additional unmet setup: local secrets in backend/.env.example (AUTH_JWT_SECRET, AUTH_AES_HEX_KEY, AUTH_INTERNAL_NOTIFY_KEY, TEMPORAL_API_KEY) were not written, and MongoDB/Docker infra was not started (docker not present).
