The two openmeter-built images are ARM-only and the P1 smart-meter serial device is missing, so the core meter-to-broker pipeline cannot run on this x86_64 VM. The InfluxDB and openHAB services (public amd64 images) do start.
The run recorded a missing prerequisite and where it got stuck, so the pass did not exercise the product's real operations.
Step: docker-compose up -d: the mqtt_broker (openmeter/mqtt_broker:0.6) and dsmr_fluvius (openmeter/dsmr_fluvius:0.9) containers fail with 'exec format error' and restart repeatedly. Their images are arm linux; this guest is x86_64. /dev/ttyUSB0 is also absent.
Safety: No problems traced to this repository code in these checks.
No problems traced to this repository code in these checks.
OSV scanned supported lockfiles; unpinned dependencies and unsupported formats are outside this check.
A short run cannot establish that code is safe.
Connections show IP addresses; proxies can hide the final hostname.
Tracing covers dispatched commands and their children, not the whole OS; guest root can interfere with tracing.
Answers recorded for this run
- Running docker-compose up -d starts the openmeter stack in the background: Real input produced the expected result: influxdb is up-to-date
Source: docker-compose up -d
Input: docker-compose up -d in the repo root
Expected: Compose reports the services as up
Command: sudo -n docker-compose up -d
Observed: influxdb is up-to-date dsmr_fluvius is up-to-date openhab is up-to-date
Examples
- Install step: run the stack with docker-compose up -d: command completed successfully
Source: README.md section 3
Input: docker-compose up -d
Expected: Services start; mqtt_broker and dsmr_fluvius are arm-only images and crash on this x86_64 guest
Command: sudo -n docker-compose up -d
Observed: Some networks were defined but are not used by any service: frontend influxdb is up-to-date mqtt_broker is up-to-date dsmr_fluvius is up-to-date openhab is up-to-date
- Getting Raspberry Pi ready and SSH into the pi: Requires a Raspberry Pi host (ssh pi@<internal-ip>) and external repo openmeter-RPI-get-ready; not available in this VM
Source: README.md section 2 and 3
Expected: documented command completes successfully
Observed: Requires a Raspberry Pi host (ssh pi@<internal-ip>) and external repo openmeter-RPI-get-ready; not available in this VM
Local or hosted: local
